Forty Under 40: Brian Moore

Brian Moore, 32, grew up in Springdale and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1994 with a degree in civil engineering. He spent five years as a project engineer for Engineering Services Inc. before obtaining the corporate secretary/treasurer position. The firm employs 40 people.

Moore deals with commercial and residential development and has worked on projects such as Willow Bend, Churchill Crescent and Market Square. He said the best part of his job is the people he works with.

I love dealing with people, Moore said. I love watching subdivisions being built from the raw piece of land to the houses.

Moore said his career was greatly influenced by his father, a professor of civil engineering at the University of Arkansas for 27 years. He also considers Jim Martin, president of Engineering Services Inc., to be one of his mentors.

Moore serves on the boards of the Springdale Rotary Club, Springdale Chamber of Commerce and the First Methodist Church of Springdale.

A former Little League coach, Moore said when hes not working he enjoys taking golfing trips across America. He said his favorite golfing venue so far is Torrey Pines in San Diego.
